Recruited and NO MORE

Over the weekend Brother Freedom was sharing with me what he was hearing from the Throne Room in his apartment last week. God speaks to Brother Freedom so often. Freedom has spent years pressing in toward the Lord God and building an intimacy that is available to any Christian who is willing to pay the price. You can be as close to God as you are willing to search and seek HIS blessed face.
But here is what Freedom heard the Spirit of God saying, but in my own (Bro. Clint’s) words and perception.
The visible church today, as God sees it, is like an army where the soldiers have been recruited. They have even taken their oath of allegiance, but that is as far as they are ever brought, for the most part. They are an army of civilians. They have no uniform (not literally, but figuratively). They have never gone to boot camp. They have never learned to march in cadence. They are a bunch of undisciplined civilians (worldlings). As soon as they they are recruited and have taken their oath they are put on the battle field of life. Satan has a field day with them. They don’t know how to pray through. They do not have the fullness of the Holy Ghost, only a touch of the Spirit of God. They are not familiar with their field manual (The Bible). They still have many of their past hangups, addictions and weaknesses. The modern church is a mess!
I might add that one of the reasons I so appreciate Brother Freedom is that he represents what authentic, Spirit filled believers were like in the 1950s. Most of those saints have gone on to glory. But Brother Freedom was discipled and exposed to saints who had a mighty touch from Heaven. And I firmly believe Brother Freedom primarily represents what the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit is saying. But, secondarily Brother Freedom is letting today’s church know that yesterday’s authentic believers would reject the modern church of this era.
