More On The Secret Place

Brother Freedom reminds the listeners that since his stroke his ability to speak has diminished, but if they will listen closely God is going to touch the listener in a special way. Even though you may not understand some aspects of what Brother Freedom is trying to communicate, nevertheless the Holy Spirit can use that input to change your life. The Holy Spirit has awesome power to take Scriptures and truths and bypass the mind to do a work in our inner man. This is a truth known by very few.
The death of Jesus and Jesus’ departure was not a vain thing because God was about to augment HIS work on earth. The Lord God would send the Holy Ghost, the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of God to earth to dwell within God’s people. This indwelling would take disciples of Jesus (all disciples who seek, not just the 12 apostles) into a realm of greater works, greater possibilities in God.
This work of God would give the true church power to overcome in their lives and in the journey before them. That is why Brother Freedom believes God sent the Holy Ghost to fill the church. The church means the true people of God. The Holy Ghost (or Holy Spirit) is THAT power of God. The Bible plainly says:
“…ye shall receive POWER, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you…” [Acts 1:8a]
Brother Freedom points out how Peter’s life was changed by the indwelling of the power and purity of the Holy Ghost. There is a big change in the before and after of Peter’s life. All the disciples showed this wonderful improvement by the Holy Ghost infilling.
Brother Freedom knows in his own personal experience how the baptism in Holy Ghost changed him. This wonderful experience in Brother Freedom has not stopped, but it keeps happening. The Holy Spirit brings you into perfection. That is what it says in Ephesians.
“For the PERFECTING of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” [Ephesians 4:12]
The Holy Spirit of God is the ONE who puts a calling in and upon our life.
“…ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into HIS marvellous light…” [1st Peter 2:9]
So many times pastors don’t inform their people of these great and important truths. The pastor needs to tell you that you have something awesome to work toward in your Christian life. You have something to grow for and into! You are preparing for a “royal priesthood.” You are heading to become a citizen of a “holy nation.”
If the new believer hears this he or she is going to ask, “Do you mean I’m in line for that?” And the pastor can joyfully answer, “Yes, YOU are in line for that! God wants YOU to shine!”
The believer is NOT proud in or for themselves, but they are proud of what God has done for them. It is HIM! It is God that gets all the glory and praise.
That is why we are “a peculiar people, zealous of good works.” [Titus 2:14] There is no other group on the face of the earth with such a high and unusual calling. The people of God are truly “peculiar” in a wonderful way. You are going to show forth HIS praises as you come “…out of darkness into HIS marvellous light…” God desires to give us an overdose of the Holy Ghost! It sets us free and makes us a shining light for God. To those who will seek HIM, God is ever faithful to do these marvelous things! God wants you to have a double portion of HIS touch in your life.
Through the infilling of the Holy Ghost the 91st Psalm can become a reality in your life. In that Psalm God reveals the Secret Place, which is what this message is all about.
We especially need the fullness of the Spirit of God in this era because what is going on around us is very serious, very perilous. With this power of the Holy Ghost we can get into the Secret Place and be faithful to God. We cannot do this in our power, our own planning, our own abilities.
The world cannot understand or enter the Secret Place of God. If you have any unbelief as a believer you can’t get in to the Secret Place either!! Many Christians put their faith in something or someone. They believe in their denomination or in some teacher or preacher. That will not cut it with God!! You cannot enter the Secret Place with faith in someone or something on earth. The Secret Place is God’s place, God’s location, God’s marvelous area of safety.
The Secret Place is not some denomination. The Secret Place is the true, invisible church of Jesus Christ that is beyond any human institution. The true church is HIS church, not our church.
The Secret Place is a very holy place in God. It is a location that you can grow in. The Secret Place is like a hot house where plants can grow wonderously. Outside may be cold, terrible weather. But in the hot house the plants are growing happily. They are not bothered by bugs, weather or bad conditions. In the hot house they thrive. And in God’s Secret Place you are in the glorious hot house of God!
When you are in the Secret Place of the MOST HIGH you are walking under HIS control. HIS eye is over the righteous! [See 1st Peter 3:12] In the Secret Place you become righteous. You didn’t start out righteous, but as God handles you and works with you in HIS Secret Place you become RIGHTEOUS. This happens because God is forever faithful. HE never misses, never makes a mistake. HE is always exactly right! But we make all mistakes.
We are HIS children. Because we are HIS children HE has great love for us. HE wants to take care of us. HE remembers that we are dust. And once in a while we do slip. God says, “My child, just ask ME. I will forgive you.”
HE helps us that we might walk in an abundant life, through the power of God. Oh, how HE loves HIS dear children! God doesn’t want to provoke us. HE wants to help us, to give us that insight that HE understands all things. When God understands our situation, then it is all well! People don’t understand us. But God is good and HE understands us completely. HE has prepared for you an everlasting home forever and ever. He has prepared you a place that never grows old. HE is always faithful. HE will lead you in the paths of righteousness.
How do we take and put on HIS nature?? We do it by growing in the Lord. But you must be in the Secret Place for this to take place! The Secret Place is a place that has the correct conditions where you can grow properly. This Secret Place goes from here on into eternity.
Our growth in God is just like the germination of a grain seed. The seed is placed down in the ground, in the warm fertile earth where it dies in order to produce a new life. We are the same. Our old nature needs to die. It is carnal, earthy, fleshly. So, when we get that birth, that germination in God’s hot house by the Spirit of God we start on the road to God’s nature.
But just like a seed sprouting, we have to have the correct moisture, the right temperatures. But in the Secret Place God has all things just perfect for us.
We may be different from someone else. Our needs are probably different because each person is unique. God makes no duplicates.
Here’s an important truth. If you miss Heaven, Heaven will not be quite complete because you are unique and your place, your position in Heaven will not be filled! God has a unique calling for every single one, that you might make Heaven your home, that you will not miss anything.
This world has so much in it that you think you need, but many times God says, “YOU DON’T NEED IT!” Many of these things of the world that seem important are: the lusts of the flesh. You lust for a car. You lust for all these things that don’t really make any difference. God sees our heart. HE sees the intent of what we are thinking about. HE sees the intent if we are selfish in our endeavor. HE sees if our love for HIM is authentic and full.
Our love for HIM has to be moved upon by the desire of our heart to come into the calling that God wants us to be called into. We need to serve the Lord with gladness, that our cup runs over.
Brother Freedom is overcome by rejoicing and joy. He begins to quote Psalm 23. He stops at the point where it says that God leads us by the still waters. Still waters are flat, perfectly flat, no rapids. There is great safety by still waters. When the waters are flat you can go full steam for God. [This reminds Brother Clint of high speed racing boats. They need very flat water. Waves cause speed boats to have great problems.] By the still waters the joy of the Lord fills you and you gain strength. God fills your spiritual gas tank by the still waters. Brother Freedom begins to quote from Psalm 91. No ill or evil shall “befall thee.” You will see the rewards of the wicked, but you will be protected.
Brother Freedom begins to thank God for all the good things that God supplies, like health and strength. Brother Freedom is very, very strong on thanking God profusely. Freedom encourages us to thank God profusely because God is real. When Brother Freedom says, “God is real,” he means that the reality of God is greater than our reality. Compared to God we, HIS creation, are almost like a chalk drawing on the sidewalk. We think we are so real, but HE is beyond us by a billion-trillion miles and more. HE is so far greater that there is no comparison between HIS reality and our reality.
Brother Freedom quotes from Proverbs:
“The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and HE addeth no sorrow with it.” [Proverbs 10:22]
There is so much sorrow in this Land. There are so many cares in this Land, but praise be to God, God has a way of deliverance!! God is forever faithful. HE has a way of touching your heart, bringing healing to your body, setting you free, putting that road of holiness before you that no man can have without the Spirit of God! HE gives you that hope, steadfast and sure in the Lord Jesus Christ, that you might walk in victory! You will then know that God is not slack concerning HIS promises as some men count slackness, but God is long suffering, not willing that any should perish, but all should come to repentance. [See 2nd Peter 3:9]
That word “repentance”…God loves that word because through repentance that seed starts growing in God’s green house of the Secret Place of the MOST HIGH ONE. When we repent we admit that “…it is me oh Lord standing in the need of prayer.”
Sin makes us sick and after that we die spiritually. That is why we need to repent. If we don’t have that eternal forgiveness that only God can give we die! Those who don’t repent will suffer consequences. And those consequences are not the best consequences. Those lesser consequences mean eternal separation from God. God doesn’t like it and Brother Freedom guarantees that you won’t like that separation either. The only hope is being close to our Father. HE is our protector. HE is our God. HE is our friend, a friend that sticks closer than a brother. Jesus did that for us at the cross. Jesus made it that we can stay close to our Father.
Brother Freedom reminds us of the scripture in Ephesians:
“Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children…” [Ephesians 5:1]
We need to be HIS dear children who take on HIS divine nature…the nature of God that supersedes all the problems we we have seen and all the failures that we’ve committed, and all the times that we were not steadfast unto the Lord.
The Bible says, “Now unto him that is able to keep you from falling, and to present you faultless before the presence of his glory with exceeding joy,…” [Jude 1:24] That is what God the Father can do for you! HE has it that you might walk in victory day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment, that we might be preserved through this life.
God wants to preserve us while we are here!! If you don’t have God you don’t preserve. It is just like putting something in the refrigerator and it spoils. But if you do the right things it won’t go bad. That is what we need, God’s controlling. The elements around us are detestable, they are unholy…they can ruin you. But God has given us the privilege of walking here in victory, to hold our head high and say, “If God be for me who can be against me. Greater is HE that is in me than he that is in the world. Let not my heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. For, in my Father’s house are many mansions…” [See Romans 8:31; 1st John 4:4; John 14:27; John 14:2]
God is preparing a place for us in Heaven forever and ever and ever. God is forever faithful. HE is here to stop you from having loss, to have you blessed and on fire for God, having victory, having the power, the anointing, the blessing, that when you pray folks are going to be touched. When you are right with God you know that HIS eye is over the righteous, and God wants to bless HIS people. God wants to bless HIS people that when they pray their prayers are answered.
It is so discouraging when you pray and nothing is the result. God sees this. That is why the churches are dead. Their prayers are powerless and futile. But you need to get alive in the Lord. Then your prayers will be effective. Your fruit, your power, your witness will be effective. What this world needs is revival by the Holy Ghost! It needs revival by the Spirit of God. The anointing of the Holy Spirit will break the yoke that binds people down. The anointing of the Holy Ghost will set you free.
God is in the business of performance. HIS performance is great!! The world’s performance is terrible! Satan has no performance! Everything Satan has is bad! He will give you a bad day. He can make you so poor you can hardly exist. He makes it where you are unhappy. Your cool friends are going to leave you when Satan is giving you his aid. Those troubles all come from Satan. You will lose your crown of eternal life if you receive Satan’s help.
God is calling a peculiar people, a zealous people, a holy people. God has all the pure and wonderful things. God sees you as HIS child. God doesn’t see the bad stuff, because HE can’t look at it. When you get too much of that “old man” in you God says, “I don’t see you! I know you are down there.” God literally is aware of exactly where we are, but HE cannot focus upon sin. That is why Jesus came, because Jesus became that intermediary that broke down that wall of separation between us and God. We choose God or we can resist HIM. And Brother Freedom says that most people resist God! They don’t choose God. They have a form of godliness, but they deny the true power from God. The Bible tells us that from such people we need to turn away. We need to fade away from them. [See 2nd Timothy 3:5]
The Holy Ghost is the power. The power that makes a difference is NOT in the way of the world!
“But the natural man receiveth NOT the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” [1st Corinthians 2:14]
Brother Freedom says that this verse is very plain, very clear. The things of the Spirit of God are spiritually discerned. The Spirit of God has power. The natural man has no true power. And the person seeking to grow toward the Secret Place of the Most High can only get there by having a true relationship with God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost!
If the Holy Ghost is not wanted, you better pray through, pray through until you cleanse yourself from all those wicked imaginations that you have in your mind, because they will distort you, bring you to a place of no possibility of getting out! If you don’t get cured you are going to be in bondage from now and forever. If you don’t get set free from your wrong imaginations about the Spirit of God you are going to be in bondage! You need to seek God and say, “Lord I want YOU this day. I want what YOU have for me this day. I want what the Holy Ghost has for me. I want HIM in my heart too, because I understand HE lives with us while we are here, and HE needs to occupy my life.”
The Holy Ghost is the great ONE of cleansing. HE knows all. HE is all on this earth. HE has a job while HE is here. HE is here to provide, to keep us in line until our Father takes us out of this world. And Jesus is coming back through the clouds of glory. And when this day of Christ’s return approaches God is going to say, “This is the last hour.”
Brother Freedom states that he believes we have entered the era of “the last hour.”
Some of you may know about the Secret Place and how special it is. But if you don’t know about it you need to get into that Secret Place because making Heaven via the exodus of true believers requires that you be in the Secret Place of the Most High God.
Heaven is so spectacular, so beyond our imaginations. The Bible says that we have never seen or heard or imagined what Heaven is. It is that far beyond anything we can conceive. [See 1st Corinthians 2:9] Brother Freedom believes that the unimaginable factors of Heaven are the reason why the Bible says that when we get there we will not even remember all that transpired prior. Our memories of earth will never again even come into our minds!
“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth: and the former shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.” [Isaiah 65:17]
God’s been working on HIS new Heaven for years. It is a prize beyond all prizes. The prize of Heaven is not like anything known on earth. It is beyond anything we have ever experienced. It is beyond description.
“But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.” [1st Corinthians 2:9]
Heaven is that gigantic. There is no description possible because Heaven is beyond all the parameters on earth.
Look what you are winning if you seek God and follow HIM. You are winning eternal life forever and ever and ever. Look what you are losing: a trip to Hell! If you are where you should be with God you will gain Heaven.
But, if you are not where you should be with God you are going to gain Hell in exchange for Heaven. It is that simple!! The Bible says, that “…Hell hath enlarged herself…” [See Isaiah 5:14] Hell has been expanded because many have been deceived in this last day.
“…for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life…” (eternal life). [See Matthew 7:13-14]
Brother Freedom declares that God is preaching this sermon. The anointing is so heavy upon Brother Freedom that Freedom senses the authorship of God HIMSELF on what is being said. Freedom declares that God wants you, the listener, to know that you need to escape those flames of Hell!! You need to be set free. You need to jar yourself right now!! Shake yourself!! “Oh man, straighten up!” God has got a zealous people, a holy people, a righteous people. And these people of God are overcomers.
Brother Freedom declares to pastors that pastors who have taught people that there are very loose requirements upon the people of God, those pastors are going to be held responsible to God for misguiding many people. There is a lot more to life in God that just getting saved. Yes, Jesus made salvation simple. All that Jesus said is exactly right! Jesus paid in full. But, there is something added. If you live beyond your day of salvation God desires that you grow toward HIM. God demands growth. There should be some spiritual growth. [By the way, this truth is taught in the story of the talents. You can read it for yourself in Matthew 25:15-30. The Lord of the servants was very angry at the servant who did not grow his talent, but merely saved it. That servant had the single talent he had been given taken from him and he was cast into outer darkness!] God expects at least a little growth. But you should have a gigantic growth in God because you should go all the way with God!
The sky is the living and the sky is the limit with God. In other words there is no limitation on any believer, forbidding them from reaching for the great heights in God! The lowliest believer can grow to infinite places in God. Such growth is not limited to pastors and church leaders. God is forever faithful. The just must live by faith. Praise God forevermore. The Lord is returning very soon and you need to be ready, be prepared, be on fire for God. You need to be an overcomer for God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Ghost. Then you can live in the joy of God forever.
